5 Inspirational Quotes to Make You Insanely Productive

In this video, I’m going to share five
quotes that will make you insanely productive Business Blueprint
simplifying your success Hi I’m Dale Beaumont. I’m the founder of Business Blueprint and the presenter of 52 ways I love quotes and I also love being
productive as well so what I’m going to do in this video is share with you my
five favourite quotes around time management. I’m going to share each of
them with you right now and maybe you want to write them down or get them from somewhere and stick them up around your desk so they’re in front of you every
single day. Quote number one. “The bad news is, time flies. The good news is, you’re the pilot.” So this quote is all about taking responsibility and realising that
you are the one that’s in control. One of my mentors said to me once: the
millionaire and the beggar have the same amount of hours in the day. Every single
person has 24 hours. It’s how you use the hours in the day that makes a difference
to how successful you become. Quote number two. “Priority management is the answer to maximising the time you have.” Now this quote from John Maxwell is all
about helping you to understand what your priorities are and when you’re
running your own business one of the questions that you need to ask yourself
every single day is what is the highest priority task that I need to work on
right now and if you just did more of the high priority tasks and less of the
tasks that could be done by someone else or could be delegated or could be
delayed to a later point in time then you’d be a lot more successful. So think
about what are your priorities right now in your business and make sure you’re
working on those things and only those things. Time management quote number
three. “Do the thing and then you’ll get the energy to do the thing.” Now this one is kind of weird. Do the thing and then you’ll get the energy to do the thing.
What does that actually mean? Well for me it’s all about getting started.
Oftentimes we wait until we in the right mood or we’re feeling right and
sometimes that may never happen. Now there’s another quote that’s sort of
tied into this that I really like and that is “it’s the starting that stops
most people.” So when it comes to doing a task just get started. Just start doing
it even if you don’t feel like doing it.
There you’ll find after 5 minutes or 10 minutes that feeling will start to turn
into excitement because now you’re actually well and truly into it. Now
you’re in the flow. Now you’re actually seeing hopefully the finish line and
you’re getting excited about getting it done. So even if you don’t feel like
doing it if it’s really important if it’s a high priority do it anyway and
then you’ll get the energy to keep doing it and get it done. Quote number four. “Progress is more important than perfection.” This is one of my all-time favourites. A lot of business owners and a lot of high achievers
really suffer from this. What you got to understand is perfection is an
illusion. It doesn’t actually exist. You can always make things better. You can
always improve. So when you let go of this idea of perfection and instead you
focus on the idea of progress you’ll find that you continue to make things
better over time. So that way you actually get something out. You get
feedback really quickly and then you can iterate and you can make it better.
So remember progress is more important than perfection. Anytime something’s
takes a long time just get it done as best as you can and then get feedback
and improve. And finally Quote number five. “Don’t spend $1 worth of time on a
10 cent decision” Now this last one is one that I absolutely love and I’ll say it again “Don’t spend $1 worth of time on a 10 cent decision”. Oftentimes, we spend hours or sometimes even weeks of time on things that really aren’t that important
and we find ourselves spending way too long on stuff that doesn’t actually
matter. For example, where should this kind of logo go. Should it be on the left
side? On the right side? And you might take an hour to kind of brainstorm where
it should actually be. Now if it’s super important, obviously spend the time. But
if it’s a 10 cent decision, don’t spend a dollar’s worth of time. Because your
time is your most valuable commodity It’s the one resource you don’t get any
more of so you want to be making sure that you’re using the time wisely. So
remember don’t spend $1 worth of time on a 10 cent decision and conversely don’t
spend 10 cents on a dollar decision It’s very important to make sure that you
ask yourself those questions constantly so you’re spending your time in the
right place. So there you go they’re my five favourite time management quotes of all time. The next step is to type these into Google. Print them off
and stick them around your desk. You want to look at them every single day. Now if
