– ’70s comedy movies, okay. I’m a fan of older flicks. – I feel like I watched a lot
of them as a little kid, ’cause that’s when my parents
just kind of showed me whatever they liked.
So I might have some just in the deepest recesses
of my mind. – Literally nothing
is coming to mind. So I’ll probably do
pretty horrible at this. – I see this going either really,
really well or really, really badly, and I don’t feel like there’s
gonna be that much of an in-between in there. – Let’s give it a shot!

from 1978. Do you know it? – Mm. No. – I have no idea. I’ve never
seen this poster before. – No, I have no idea. It’s kind of like a frat boy
type of thing going on. – “Comedy in a class of its own.”

the first big college movie. Like, what inspired American Pie
and everything else? Animal House? – I definitely have never seen this,

I’ve heard of this. – Okay, I’ve heard of this,
but I’ve never seen it. – I thought it came out
in the ’80s. I didn’t know. Oh god. All right.
And I’ve seen this. – This film is super hilarious. And if people haven’t
watched it already, you totally should, especially
if you’re a university student. – (FBE) So John Belushi
had been on SNL for three years. This was his big screen debut.
He would film Animal House Monday through Wednesday,
and then would fly back to NYC to film SNL Thursday
through Saturday night. – Oh my god.
That’s a full schedule. – I’m like, “I’m so tired” when I have
something three days in a row. I’m just like, “It’s a lot, you guys.” – As long as you’re passionate
about the projects, that’s all that matters,
’cause if it’s something you’re gonna dread,
you’re gonna be so exhausted. But if you’re having fun,

It doesn’t even look like a comedy that much
from the poster. – I have no idea what this is.

Cowboys in Space or something? I don’t know. That’s my guess.

an interesting title for a movie. And that’s all I’ve thought of it. – I know that there is
one famous scene in there. It’s the first time a fart
was ever done on camera. And that was during the beans

And that’s not really a comedy. – It looks like a Sandlot-type movie,

– Oh, the Bad News Bears. Yeah, I’ve never seen
this movie either. – Another movie I have heard
of the title but nothing about. – I’ve seen it, I think,
when I was younger. But it’s not my favorite movie
or anything. – This is actually one
of my favorite movies. This movie
and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off are my two sick day movies, you know?
Whenever I was home from school, Bad News Bears,
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. ♪ (quirky interlude) ♪ – (FBE) Do you know this one?
– Another Mel Brooks film that I don’t know.
– Another Mel Brooks film. Now, it seems to be
some sort of Frankenstein. – The first thing that came to mind
was Frankenstein, but he’s wearing a top hat,
so that’s cool. – What the [bleep] is happening
with the dude on right? Is it like a Dr. Jekyll
and Mr. Hyde type thing? Is it Young Frankenstein?
– Is that Young Frankenstein? – Oh, this is Young Frankenstein. – I do know the title of this one.

– Young Frankenstein. What? Is there like a young,
adult, elderly Frankenstein? – I don’t think I’ve actually
ever watched it or really heard of it that much, but I think I’ve seen
the name somewhere. – (FBE) So against studio exec wishes,
Mel Brooks shot this film in black and white.
He felt it would better replicate the classic Frankenstein films.
– That’s awesome. Always go for what you want. – So it’s a comedy film
in all black and white, but filmed in the ’70s.
That might be interesting to watch. – I think that was a good idea
for him to do that. You know, to capture
that classic theme with the book and whatnot. ♪ (quirky interlude) ♪ – (FBE) Do you know this one? – Paul Newman, Robert Redford,

I didn’t actually know that it came from this.
– I guess I don’t really know that much about ’70s movies,
’cause I didn’t think that any of these
were from the ’70s. But I feel like comedy
